Hello!
Hello all you wonderful blog readers! My name is Kaylie, Owner of KP Event Design, based out of Kansas City! This is my first blog post...yes I know I'm a little behind the band wagon, but better late than never, right?
For my first post I just wanted to virtually introducing myself so you know who's typing on the other end!

Flowers and design have been a huge part of my life! My grandma had me gardening at a very young age so I guess I just grew right into that role! After taking classes, interning and working for other large design companies I decided in 2012 it was the perfect time to open KP!
On a more personal note, I am not from Kansas I am actually from Maine, but moved to Kansas when I was young. After growing up in a very small town (Fort Scott KS) I have very simple values. Be kind, be honest, work hard, God is first, family is second! Handsome hubby and I started dating when we were just barely 16! Almost 11 years later and we are still going strong!

In my free time (aka about two weeks right around Christmas time) I enjoy watching movies with handsome hubby, sitting with my puppy Jazzy (who is not really a puppy anymore...She's like 10) and eating! IF I do have energy after wedding season I love painting (like rooms not so much on a canvas ..I know weird right, but I'm that person who can paint my living room every year and that's me holding back! ...Handsome hubby loves this about me hahaha ;)
When it comes to KP it is very much a family business...without really being a family business. All of the people walking around the studio or your event is most likely a sister in-law, nephew, cousin, or friend. We are very blessed that everyone KP has hired, I knew in some way before they starting working and I LOVE that! I know if when I need someone 10 people come running and that is a true blessing!
I really hope you enjoyed reading a little about my life and I hope you keep reading my blog! I plan to post at least once a week and keep everyone updated with events we have going on at the studio!
